This is not only about public employees fees and such. We are talking about a new citizen. is not like is a new birth, is more like betting. You are letting an immigrant become part of your nation. Is not a simple task.

Sorry for disagree with you guys but public employees need to be paid somehow you know. reviewing a citizenship application is not something to be done in 20 minutes
even less having 3rd world country immigrants all over the place. Also the test is just part of the application, it would be the same if you have to pay it upfront with the form fee. Stop complaining and be real citizens.

Someone speaking the truth PEOPLE!!!!!! We are being raped! Now we have a revision fee too. In the first place the denial was almost untouchable.

What will come next? Fee to walk your dog if you are not a citizen? Pay double the subway since you are a new citizen and what not?

I don’t know who wrote this blog, but obviously it’s not from England or doesn’t care about our economy. As war as I concern, applying frees to a citizenship process is a great idea, not only because it helps paying all the bureaucratic stuff (otherwise we should even pay more taxes) but also because it gives importance to the fact that obtaining the British citizenship is not for everyone. If you want to be part of this great country, pay the price!

Jef is completely right. It felt odd to pay for the Life in The UK test. What about the fee for the form and all of that? You pay little by little a fortune to become citizen, that is not fair!

We pay our taxes as everyone else or even more so we don't have any charges!
